All Treats. No Tricks.
October whizzed by us. Luckily I was able to snap some photos of our Halloween fun. Hope you and yours had a happy Halloween too!
Presenting to you, The Mummy, The Skeleton, and The {Good} Witch.
Here are the kids before meeting up with friends for some happy trick or treating.
The mummy costume is nothing more than a pair of long underwear with thin strips of lightweight cotton fabric. I had fun tearing up the strips, but once I started sewing said strips onto the long underwear, I found myself drowning in a sea of thread and fabric. Three yards of fabric + a Hello Kitty sewing machine does not a happy mama make! Oh it was quite crazy! But all worth it in the end!
Browsing the boys’ section at KMart, I lucked out by finding a two-pair pack of pajamas for $16. One of the pairs was the skeleton jammies shown in the photo. We also found a pair of skeleton gloves at the dollar store too. Total cost for Henry’s costume? $9. A bargain, I say!
And the good witch. Well nothing is cuter than a sweet little witch, now is there? Kate’s costume was store bought as I couldn’t resist the cuteness factor of this costume. Every little girl needs to be a witch at least once in her lifetime, don’t you think?
Overall our Halloween was full of treats, and luckily, no tricks!
